How to Clean Multi Stone Settings
If you cant come by the store, here are a couple ways to do a quick cleaning so you can show off your goods!
Toothpaste: Sounds funny however, you can get a toothbrush and apply a small amount of toothpaste like you were to brush your teeth, brush your piece under room temperature water. The toothpaste will disolve with water so you can rinse off you piece thoroughly to get all the residue off your piece. If you get the kind that has baking soda in it, the baking soda will also slightly polish the metal.
Liquid Jewelry Cleaner: We have in store Hagerty’s Jewelry cleaner. It has a little basket inside to place your jewelry on it. If you have a small brush or toothbrush you can brush all the dirt away. Rinse real well to make sure you get all the solution off your piece. Do not keep your piece in the solution for longer than 10 minutes.
Mild Dish Washing Soap: Apply a small amount of soap on a small brush or toothbrush and brush away! Doesnt work as well as toothpaste however will get the job done!
These are just a few household ways to clean you jewelry when you can make it by the store. If you can come by we’ll be glad to inspect and clean your jewelry at no charge! We check all the stones, prongs and settings. We then will polish your piece, place it in our cleaner, steam it off and return your piece looking like the day you recieved it! If you have a few spare minutes, swing by & we’ll be glad to take care of it for you.
